For example, a normal 50mm lens on 35mm film cameras will magnify the image when used on a 1.3 chip sensor, it will appear (or have the powers of magnification) similar to a 65mm lens. On a 1.5 sensor, it will compare to a 75mm and on a 1.6 sensor, similar to an 80mm lens.
